  • Playlist and Browser on the same screen

ok, I've been doing some reading.. thinking.. (I know I shouldnt).. .

I have been playing with the playlist and browser on the same screen, now I've done this in the audio_browser.skin but have come across a couple of problems..

    1. On selection using "Select" it changes auto to the "Main" skin, I have tried using Select||List but it then flashs up the main then goes back to the list. So thats no good really.
    2. The albumart path remains on the dir list, not the playlist when highlighted.

The easy answer I think would be to move the dirlst into the audio_player.skin then this would correct the Select command and also the album art.. now I have done some searching and stuff, but cant seem to find the info I need to do this. I did find a post saying it was possible, but no info how to other than look in the skincommand txt file... I have done this and still cant seem to grasp it.

hope you can help guino as the effects that you can do between the dirlist and the playlist are awesome :-)

If you use "!SELECT" it'll stay on the same screen.

to have a dirlist in the audio player, you'd need to use the SD definition and specify a path (hardcoded)... would basically be like an additional browse screen. with the album art, it just works differently on the audio browser screen (to show the selected folder's album art).

The problem is that there's support for only 1 album art per screen and on the audio_browser it's default to not look for any "song" art. It's a mess to add support to display another of those images, but it's easy to add a coverfile labelcode if you just want to get the path to the song's art (if any).

yeah adding a coverfile code would be kewl.. I've managed to get something working.. well all but the albumart. but its quite nice, need to test it on a lower spec to see what the cpu load it. but it means I can do something else now :-)
