  • fullscreen video problem with flash skins?

I am having a problem, I cannot get the video to play in fullscreen when using a flash skin?

I have tried freshly re-installing windows, rr, winamp (295), mplayerclassic, divx etc, i can play the videos fine, but after the 4 seconds when it supposed to go fullscreen, ,,, it doesnt, it stays where it is, but if I am using a mouse, the mouse pointer disappears at the point when the video is trying to go fullscreen? I have tryed differnt versions of flash, I am now using version 8. I have also tryed checking and unchecking loads of different boxes in the rrconfig and winamp config. - the same thing happens when trying to run the milkdrop visuals in fullscreen, only it jumps between fullscreen and being embedded, uncontrollably.

I am using the skin MC2.0 (which is fantastic!, especially with freedrive embedded!)

I have tryed using the internal player and using mplayer classic, but both are doing the same thing?

Another question about the internal player the RR uses... how can it be configured? does it use the winamp video function?

if i double click on the video screen, the video jumps into fullscreen for a second then jumps back, into the video skin screen.

Has this happened to anyone else? any ideas?

im running the latest rr. (july 8th 06)

    any Ideas anyone?

are you using transitions ? if so, have you tried disabling it ? have you tried to set the transition for the video_player (/EFFECTXX) ?

      Sorry,

I dont think I am using transitions, how can I tell? I have looked in the rr.ini file and i dont see any commands for transitions.

I dont know anything about coding, but I can alter config files no probs? how do you set the transition for the video_player ? I take it i need to edit the rr.ini file?

      sorry to be a pest.

      Cheers

just open video_player.skin from your skin path and add:

        /EFFECT02

before the END tag. See if that helps.

          It worked!!!!

Only thing is now, when I go back from full screen to embeded in the skin, I cannot see the video, just a background picture of, what looks like a video camera, If I leave it for a few seconds it will go fullscreen again and be fine,

Im sure i will get it workling if I mess about with a few settings, I'll see what I can come up with, and keep you posted.

          Thanks for the help!!
