  • relaunch of hqct-plugin

    Hi guino,
after testing the newest software of datalex hqct-software Im impressed. the software is so much better than the rr-plugin. I found much more stations only with a paper clip as antenna as I found with real antenna and rrr-plugin. all stations were very clear, always like my headunit. this is the way it should be and you nevermore need a heasunit with carpc, rr and hqct. So can you re-launch the hqct plugin?

    thx
    Matthias

You should be able to just use the initialization settings from the new plugin in the HQTC application for RR and seve it, then it should have the same reception settings when you use it in RR.

Guino, any chance you can make the source for RRHQCT.EXE available ??? (i'm guessing this is Delphi code?)

I can send you the sources, yes, but it's basically a modified version of the code the manufacturer made available, so not sure how much help it will be.. just PM me with your email address if you'd like it anyway.

I tried it briefly and it seems to work fine. The source is also available -- it will be included in the next RR release as replacement for the old one.

HQCT playing on two front speakers only.

HQCT playing on two front speakers only.

I'm aware that HQCT module uses “CD audio” connector on motherboard for audio input. Which is a stereo (LEFT, GRND, GRND, RIGHT). However, MP3s and Videos playing on all four speakers.

What do I have to do to make HQCT play on all four speakers on my VIA EPIA SP13000 board?

I'm not claiming to know anything about the HQCT as i don't have 1 but my Wintv tv tuner is dual mono but still comes out of all 5.1 speakers.

This in my system is done by either winamp (most likely) or the soundcard (audigy 4 pci),i'm not exactly sure which.

Look in your soundcard options and winamp for Stereo Upmixing.

try the line in plugin. Get the latest beta too cause there were some issues fixed with that.

yeah what guino said. I was forced to use the cd line in on my mII12k but i use an audigy2 notebook card for sound output. I use the line in plugin for winamp, then tell roadrunner to use it. It took me a bit when i got my HQCT to figure it out, but it outputs on all speakers and sounds just fine(minus the slightly static fm when I leave the city....)

Btw. I tested the new rrhqct and it tends to pop up in front of roadrunner now for a few seconds before it minimizes. the old one never popped up at all just automatically minimized. its not that big of a deal, just thought id mention it.

I have installed plugin downloaded the latest RR beta. When I check the "Use Line-In Plugin" box in rrconfig the only thing I can hear is the noise and a little radio on the background.

Do I have to change the default "line://title=Radio,srate=44100,bps=16,nch=2" to something else?

                          Thanks

source code is available for download on www.datalex.be and on www.xtronic.be.
it is both Roadrunner compatible as stand-alone usable.
simply replace the previous RRHQCT.exe for this new one and Roadrunner will do the rest.
The form of this version stays visible behind RR, so if you need to modify volume or tone settings (of the tuner) you can do so by minimising RR, do your thing and then maximise RR again,
