  • skinning winamp media library

    I cannot seem to catch the window or class name of winamp media library. Tried both names from winspector-spy. I can make Winamp Library catch in launch, but not as a button. can anyone help? I also would like to make the fonts much bigger in media library, anyone know how to attempt this?

    thanks

    This is what I did to run 2.xx or 5.xx

    Code:
    "WINAMPLIBRARY","SHOWWINDOW;library;False||LOAD;LIBRARY.skin;library;;library||OPENLIBRARY||RUN;;library"

    "OPENLIBRARY","BYVAR;OPENLIB;OPENLIBRARY2<<"
    "OPENLIBRARY2","ACTIVATE;Playlist Editor||SENDKEY;%f||SENDKEY;l||SENDKEY;mm{ENTER}||SETVAR;OPENLIB;1"

      Chuck-

      Thanks for the quick reply. Ive used your code, and it does work much better than mine. However, it still isnt skinning. It does however, call the window and i have placed it into the proper position. I would like to skin it about 50px down from the top and 70px from the bottom. Any ideas on how to catch the class? spectorspy doesnt seem to give the proper name/class i imagine.

      Thanks again,

            Chuck-

            LS helped me a while ago on how to structure the exectbl file for LSX VOID, which i believe was originally developed for your skin. I Really appreciate both of you being on this thread, as this is my first attempt to hack the exectbl file (inside the LSX Void - Current Release, with RR Current(manual install)), and Winamp 5 Current (full) as it streams asx/mms properly without the /.wma hacks.

            Attached are the medialibrary.skin file and exectbl.ini. Im sure as you look through the file, you will laugh, then call me names, then laugh some more! I couldnt match up the FREE49/50 tags, so i decided to use both of them. I had also tried it with a fresh exectbl file, as i saw the DONT MISORDER THE TAGS messages in the LSXVOID/EXECTBL file, but it seems that it occurs on both files.

            Thanks in advance guys, i have been trying to figure out a way to implement online media for quite a while. I have been through ymp, live365 (pro), audiostreamer, screamer, as well as a few other apps that just dont work well for online streaming/driving.

            I eventually would like to have 2 copies of winamp running. One for the audio library, which is the current integration into rr. And another for the media library; this way when a track is run from the ML, say its a podcast/stream/etc, it will not mix with the current playlist from winamp which sits inside rr.

            thanks again guys, you two +guino seem to make the RR SCENE ROCK!

              damnit, cant believe i missed it; thought it would require WA skin hacking.

                    Chuck,

                    sorry i am still a little new on this. Could you explain what this area is, and how it relates/knows this area will be for the app?? i believe i have seen this type of reference inside rrskineditor. If this is a basic question, could you please point me to a faq on this subject?

                    thanks again,

                              thanks for the help chuck.. looks like were getting closer! now it seems that its skinning other applications as well as the media library. for example i was using notepad to work on the skin file, and lost the notepad app; it still shows in the process manager, but its somewhere inside rr, and i cant find it!!

                              i also am unable to close winamp/rr when i exit rr. RR runs at 100% for a few mins when trying to close. Ill debug in a bit.

                              I also tried updating the font size, and could not find the modify button in the current 5.x build of winamp. I did find the playlist editor font size, but it only modifies the left column. I would like to modify the right side, where it shows the station name.

                              thanks,
