    Does anything need to be done to RR to use the vol table ini file?
    I made the changes i wanted but they still default to the 0-10: 1 step and 5 after

    I have this in my voltable.ini

    5=0.02
    20=0.5
    100=1

    Is something wrong here?

        I have never really messed with the voltable.ini file, as I have been ok with the default table.

        Looking at your code in the first post however, that does look like it should work, according to the instructions in the vol ini file and all.

            I have the same results

            Yes, it seems that the volume table may be broken or mis-documented. I too tried to modify it per the instructions in the file, but had no success.

              Bringing this back to life.

              I'm having issues with making my own volume table settings. The standard volume adjustments jsut don't cut it for me. I need it be smoother and I need more resolution down in the low volume end.

              I tried this:

              11=0.5
              41=1
              100=2

              The problem is that, if the volume is up, and I go to turn it down, it goes to zero. The second problem is taht if I ever max it out, it does not allow me to reduce the volume. It's like it exceeded some value and is stuck at max then. One other random time, it changed the balance to one side.

              Has anyone sucessfully made their own voltable.ini work right?

                Erase the /, before the command, mine works great. Its set up to go in 1% incriments up till 20% then .5 from 20-100%

                /, This File Defines Custom Volume Adjustments for different ranges
                /, The format is a sequence of Percentual Values = Adjustment
                /, Bellow is the format that "RESEMBLES" the normal adjustments in RR
                /, which are basically 1% adjustments from 0-10%, and 5% from 11-100%
                /,
                20=1
                100=.5
                /,
                /, Another example would be to produce ten extra steps between each of
                /, the first 0-5% levels:
                /,
                6=0.1
                20=.05
                100=.05
                /,
                /, Any line starting with "/," is a comment line. The above examples will
                /, only have an effect if the lines are uncommented.

                Hope it helps

                  ahah! Eureka! I found the problem.

                  First I had to map the volume control to only Master Volume Control in the RR config. This corrected the volume going all the way to zero during the first time I try to adjust the volume.

                  Second problem of volume getting stuck at 100% was solved by changing 100 to 101. So for example:

                  6=0.5
                  21=1
                  100=2

                  did not work. Volume gets stuck at 100%. But if I do this:

                  6=0.5
                  21=1
                  101=2

                  then it works great.
