  • RR not on top..

If I have my navigation screen open and run my GasNav script which sets RR TOPMOST TRUE it will hide all the menus iGuidance gets through and transfers the LAT and LON labels, all good, but now I have a pop up screen, (see screen shot) which is open for 5 sec as long the Autoit script runs it does not set RR on top but only the current screen is on top. Is there a way to set RR on top and not the current screen?

I had the same exact problem, and could not find a work around. I had to re-do the pop up to be the same size to cover the iG menu.

I'm not exactly clear as to the desired result here.. you wanted your popup to show but without showing the iG menu ? Once all the info is entered, can't you just hide the iG menu with HideWindow ? I'm unsure of what you're asking...

Just to make it clear, Popups in RR are "child" windows of the current screen, meaning what you do to it, likely happens to the current screen and vice-versa (because they're linked together) -- it's possible that setting a child "on top" will affect the current screen.. to either also be on top (so it's also shown) or to not be on top (and thus guaranteeing the visibility of the child) -- those are windows' things.. I'd have to try it to see.

From the gasNav screen I call the CalcRoute.skin with th MENU command.
While the CalcRoute.skin is only a small screen iGuidance menu can not hide behind the screen. When I don't call the CalcRoute.skin and only the AutoIt script it hides behind the GPS sreen because it is a full (800x480) screen.
Should'nt it hide behind RR, no matter how ig the image of the CalcRoute.skin is?
Here are two shots tyo illustrate the effect.
First one shows the IG menu on top of RR and second shows IG Menu behind RR.

I think I understand you wanted the IG menu to be behind RR... it may have to do with how you're calling the IG screen... windows has all those "automatically passed" settings from the caller window to invoked windows.. still, I agree with you, the IG window should be behind RR... but who said windows makes sense ? :P anyway, I'd say your best bet is to try using SETTOPMOST or HIDEWINDOW to prevent that iG menu from showing on top of RR... let me know if you don't get anywhere with it.

SHOWWINDOW and SETTOPMOST have no effect on this. As soon I load the CalcRoute.skin the iG menu shows between RR and the called skin.

I'm looking at the code for the "MENU" command .. have you tried any older versions to see if this used to work as desired ?
