I've never seen that happen, what version of MM are you running ? and have you verified that the problem ONLY happens when running MM inside RR ? I assume you're using the latest RR ?

I use MM version 1.1.348 and RR 05 march 2006 version. The problem only appear when I run MM in RR.
Running MM outside RR, OSK works fine.

ok, to my surprise, I had this problem in my laptop myself.. except that running MM outside RR still had THE SAME ISSUE... from what I can tell it has to do with how MM is sending the keys to the Destinator window -- seems like a bug in MM.. basically, all I had to do was open task manager and kill everything I had running in the background (under your current username -- leasve SYSTEM and NETWORK services running), then I launched MM outside RR and it worked fine, then launched it inside RR and guess what -- worked fine... I'm guessing I never had that issue in the car simply because I always keep my car computer very clean when it comes to memory and background applications. There's definitely something wrong in MM that is causing it to send the keys to a window of an application other than destinator.. I'm also guessing that there are different applications that could cause this problem.. one user at the MM forums said it won't work with ICQ running for instance.

If you have another app pulling info from RR thru SDK without using SETLABEL as the first SDK command you will have this effect... Try running the SDK Example (SDKExample.exe) while entering street/city in MapMonkey, it is impossible...

I have found this problem - but only when phonecontrol is also controlled through RR.

If I remove the path to Phoco in RR.ini, the problem goes away.

Obviously phone control is not something I want to disable - I'm still using the demo Phoco while I get set up, will the "normal" version solve this?

I know for a fact the issue is related to other programs running in the background (not in RR), but never did pinpoint the issue. I have Phoco registered in the car and MM still works fine with it running, so may be it does help. If you're using the demo of Phoco and it works good enough for you to say you don't want to disable it, then you should probably get a license. You can always try FreeDrive though which has some nice advantages over MM and is also free.

I'm using the registered version of Phoco, including the latest patch, and I still get this problem from time to time...especially if I go straight into the Address button on the MM skin rather than Menu/Plan Route/Address.
