  • Problem also with MM commands in RR skin

Ok, another problem for me...hope the last (RR is perfect for my car pc).
In Bmve36 skin I add a field L and try to insert the command "DISTANCE" from MM. Nothing.....
I Try also other commands but same result.
My gps work with nmea and other function like direction works fine in skin.

Sure I forget something in configuration but I don't understand what....

    Thanks for help....

Try the BMV2 skin see if the Location/ETA/ETR info is displayed correctly from MM, if not, then you need to set MM correctly -- this is explained in the GPS FAQ (you probably don't have the TCP connections enabled, but read the whole section on MM to be sure)

PS: This is assuming that you're trying to DISPLAY info from MM -- which is in no way a "COMMAND".

In BMV2 skin ETA, ETR and location works fine....i try to change location (MM;STREET) with distance to next turn (MM;DISTANCE) (try also DISTANCE only) but this don't works.
I have Destinator 3 (not SDK)...possible that strings for Destinator 3 are different?

      Thanks

well, if ETA/ETR/SREET work, then "DISTANCE" should work but you probably have not created a route in order for it to display that information -- you MUST have a GPS lock for it to work as well.

I create a route, MM tell me first turn with distance to it but on RR skin nothing.
What do you mean with "you MUST have a GPS lock for it to work as well" ?(sorry my english is not so good)

          Thanks

Do you have the GPS installed and it is reporting your position propperly in MM ? without the GPS connected with good signal it will NOT work.

              RESOLVED!!!!
.....possible that GPS don't work fine before...change settings and now all ok.
Only last question: when I turn off gps, in DISTANCE field and in STREET field in RR skin compare "N/A"...is possible to eliminate this? (I have that fields in MENU skin....)

              Another thanks for your help........

the Car: N/A and Out: N/A can be removed by commenting/removing 4 lines in menu.skin and any other screen that you'd like to remove it from, alternatively you can install a temperature sensor (link on my site) to make them actually work.
