  • Video problem with usedualmon

I Encountered a bug with usedualmon=true. Once a video is played and I click in the video field, nothing happens (good!). When I go the another menu (video continues to play, what I want) and go back the the video screen and then click in the video field the skin around the video field turns black. After that I am unable to get back to RR (show the skin). I have to use the escape key to get back to the skin, but I dont have an escape key in my car and only a touchscreen, so I was unable to do anything and had to reboot.

So I tried to figure out what it was and this only happens with usedualmon=true. Somehow when you return to the video screen and click into the video field you loose the skin and are unable to do anything.

I checked out the source and most probably it has something to do with dvd skins. At certain points it only checks if its in dvd skins while I am using the video_browser skin. Maybe you can have a look at it, thanks!

Guino, you think this is no bug?

Another issue I found is that when you are playing a video, you hit Play again, it pauses, which probably is normal, but when you hit play again it resumes playing from where it resumed when I came back from hibernation. Also the video is very very slow (1 fps). When you hit the stop button and then hit play it resumes normally.

I am using the internal media player.

I dont think that really is the problem. This issue is totally without the use of DVD_player. I am only using the video_player. And when I switch to GPS and switch back to video then hit the video field (once, not twice to make it fullscreen) the skin around it goes black and I'm not able to touch or click anything around it. In that point im lost and have to reset because I dont have any other input.

Ah you have that problem. U not using the internal video player on that one buddy. I have had this happen to me before. If you click unclick the use build in player and you use media player classic or something that is outside of RR path when you click on the video screen it will go black. If you lucky u can move the screen around to the side and might see the skin.

Im not able to see or do anything. I can touch what I want, move, double touch or go mad... nothing

Today I accidently missed my button and touched the videofield and yep... there it goes.

I tried it on another setup and I had the same.

              Im using the CFX skin.

No one can confirm the error if you follow the steps I did?
