  • Help! RR 10-08-06 and OSK problem...

    Hi,

I have a problem with the new RR. With my skin and destinator pn the OSK don't works. With the same OSK and old RR (like 10-31-05) it works correctly.

I have also another problem with nero burning rom. When I try to rename my cd-label and call the OSK with "APPOSK", it type inverted... Eg: when I type "pippo" on the screen I see "oppip".

Another problem is that, when RR close, It don't close all applications embedded, even if I have selected the option "close embedded apps on exit"

    Thanks

there have not been any changes in the way the OSK works.
some programs do not work well with the OSK because of a focus issue.
there have not been any changes with the close embbeded apps feature -- if it isn't working for you then you probably don't have it embedded right in first place.

      Hi,

      thank you for your reply.

Ok for the nero-osk and closing apps, these are secondary problems, but why for the destinator? The skin and the settings of RR are the same but with the old versions works and with the new not. I've tried with different PC and configurations but the result are the same...

I can't possibly remember all the changes that have been done within the past year. However, I'm interested to know if that OSK is from Destinator or from RR ? and if it works fine outside RR.

No, this is a simple OSK from RR, not external OSK.

You can change the Kxx lines into Bxx lines like this:

                K32,7,411,68,62,003,113,081,"Q"

                to:

                B32,7,411,68,62,"SENDKEY;Q"

and it should have the same effect. The thing is that previous versions of RR would inavertly send the key to any embbeded app, when in fact it should only do so using the APPOSK (not the case here). This was fixed, therefore the "bug" you were taking advantage of was gone.

                  Hi,

I have tried and works, but it worked better with the old “bug”. Sometimes it gives problems that the text don't continue letter after letter but it is overlapped, that instead with the Kxx did not happen.

if you name your skin osk2.skin and use the "apposk2" command to load it, the old file (with Kxx lines) should work as it used to work with the "bug" in place.

I don't understand what you mean... you can have up to 4 different application osks per skin -- osk.skin, osk2.skin, osk3.skin and osk4.skin -- so you should be able to use at least one to match the application in question for your own use.

Because my first skin of Destinator PN call the OSK with other size of embedding... If I use the apposk2 solution this is the result...
