  • Button Focus Problem

I'm running RR from 11-12-06 and LSXVoid 2.02

I have an issue that if I switch to SAT, and sometimes NAV or AUDIO, when I come back to the main screen the SAT button is highlighted. The highlight will go off if I touch another button on the screen.. Any idea why this could be happening? Is this a bug??

I posted in the LSXVoid thread and it was mentioned that the cursor is not going to where its supposed and its hovering over the SAT button..

probably the button you pressed to exit from the previous screen got the mouse over to that location and thus highlights it. You can disable the highlights altogether by changing the ON screen in the .skin file to be the same as the OFF screen. There is no current way to "hide" the highlight, but it could be added.

So, if I were to disable the highlights in the .skin, I would get no feedback as to what button I push (except for when the application loads, obviously).. Right?

        So,

no highlights at all or live with it.

        Am I getting that right?

Would be nice to have a way of it not highlighting unless the mouse was pressed but not hovering over the current button.............

But that's way above my current ability.

You could just change the "ON" graphic file to remove that specific button highlight. At least, you can keep all the other exect that particular one.

No need to change any graphic files, just use OFF,OFF,OFF,DOWN images and you have no ON stage.

For example, at the top of the skin file, there should be lines, that look something like this:

                Code:
                MEDIACAR Skin
                MEDIACAR MainMenu Skin
                MMI-02_1EMPTY.png,MMI-02_2OFF.png,MMI-02_3ON.png,MMI-02_4DOWN.png
                Change to:

                Code:
                MEDIACAR Skin
                MEDIACAR MainMenu Skin
                MMI-02_2OFF.png,MMI-02_2OFF.png,MMI-02_2OFF.png,MMI-02_4DOWN.png

                  hmm, thanks.
                  I'll have a try!
For some reason, I can understand it when someone points this stuff out, I just can't seem to figure it out on my own yet.

                  Cheers
