  • C++ Snippet Needed

    I am trying to send TRACKNAME to an external program that is in C++, but I have no idea how to initialize or retrieve the data from the RideRunner SDK. The FAQ section has the following written in VB6:
    Code:
    Set RRSDK = CreateObject("RoadRunner.SDK")

    ' To Get information from Road Runner
    CurrentSong = RRSDK.GetInfo("TRACKNAME")
    I want to do the same thing in C++. Anyone out there know what the C++ code should be?
    HARDWARE: Fujitsu Stylistic ST5111w/WiFi and dock, internal Hitachi 500G HD, external 1TB HD, Sierra Wireless Aircard 550, DVD-RW, BoomzBox HD radio, XM Commander, Delorme GPS, Saitek X-52 Pro joystick, BluSoleil Bluetooth, TPMS, FB, Elm327

      The above should work fine, and there are alternatives to receiving data from RR such as using the SendMessage API (WM_COPYDATA) also demostrated in the SDK examples.

        [SPOONFEED MODE ON]

        Would someone please translate the above and list the necesary #include, #define, and variable definitions needed to acquire and pass the data to another output in C++.

          Gizmo, do you know the basics of C++ programming?

          If so you should be able to work it from the link

          If not, then I'm not sure you should be trying to do it, till you have some more C++ programming under you belt.

            Its been 25 years since I did any serious programming. I'm too old to want to learn another programming language. So how much do you want.... to do it for me. At this point in my life, I have more money than time. PM incoming.
