  • Flash Guages including source code

    Hi all,

    I started teaching myself flash about 2 weeks ago after seeing some examples on here and wanting to make up a compass to stick on the main menu of the triton skin I am using (love that skin!).

    Thanks to those who put up some tutorials & examples on here which gave me a big head start.
    A few people have asked me for my swishmax source files so thought id post them here for everyone to use as they wish, hope they are of some use to somebody.

          those are very nice.. just the idea of having them "a la carte" is worth it.

                Well I am one that has learned a lot from happyg, the source files he posted have allowed me to understand sufficient flash to make my own compass, I changed the circular compass to one that moves left to right all the components and scripting are working.

                This is the compass on my 4WD skin, some of the labels are duplicated. I now have to tidy up the LCD panel and decide what will be in flash and what will just be standard RR skin stuff.

                Thanks again to happyg

                      Does this work with Speedfan for CPU temp etc? How do you get the data to be read?

                      GREAT JOB btw!

                        If just reads the temp label data from Road Runner, configured in RRConfig. You may be able to get them to read other stuff with Road Runners variables but guino or one of the more experienced skin guys here would know more about that than me.

                          Help

                          This is grate

                          But I use feet in the altitude gauge

                          I changed this for ft
                          gpsalt="271 ft
                          tmpstr.slice(0,length(tmpstr) - 3)

                          I changed this to scale it up
                          alt_tmp = alt_tmp plus 300;
                          alt_tmp = alt_tmp /3;

                          But I need some way to round it out I think

                          Any help would help

                          Here is my file I am working on

                            Swishmax has a rounding function, I think this is how you use it but I didn’t test

                            Math.round(alt_tmp)

                            So if alt_tmp = 375.543
                            The function will strip the .543 off

                            Is that what you wanted?
