Too busy. Maybe if the background was much, much, much more subdued.

I think you are right. Ive decided to do another version called Golf quicksilver. Here's what im thinking. I also want to get into flash but have no idea what so ever about how to do anything on it (Im not a programmer or a very quick learner) I am just wondering if it is possible to, in flash, have the buttons ripple as though you were touching water. At the the moment the square buttons for play etc. turn from squares to circles jut with off/down images, but is it possible to turn it to a circle and the have the ripple effect. If someone can get me started i would be very greatful, but dont get too technical .

Ok heres the Golf quicksilver version main screen

I like your quicksilver revision, it's much better and easier to read.
To have any kind of effects on button presses you would need to make it a flash skin. I have yet to dabble in this yet, so one of the flash skinners would be a better place to turn, it can be done though. You would need a flash creator program to start. Not sure where to get one...

The way RR is designed now, you basically have your different states of skins layered on top of each other, with the "off" image on top, when you highlight a button with the mouse, the area is cut away to reveal the "on" image, and when pressed it cuts even further to the "down" image. So there is no animation in it.

My theory on skins in general:
I personally create skins that will suit my own needs, but release it to the public for use. If someone asks to have something changed or updated to suit their needs, then I oblige if I can. If you are trying to create a skin that every one with a golf will use, it will take time and patience, since you are making something that is universal. There are those here that spend hundreds of hours on skins, (and what would we do without them...) that look amazing and have more functionality than most people need. These people are great resources since they've "been there/done that."

Create it for yourself and release it if you're so inclined. I would imagine the lack of comments is due in part to folks being weary of previews actually reaching completion, so why bother. That, and there is probably only a hand-full of VW Golf owners.

Release it and they will come..
