  • Skin Wont Change

    Hi,

I looked about but can not find an answer to the following, easy for you guys I know.
Why when I use the skin editor and change a menu in the BMV2 save it etc, then when I open road runner the menu hasnt changed?
I checked the location of skin to open and edit and the skin RR is using and both one and the same.

I know from experience that if you don't go File, Save, it doesn't save automatically on exit.

        Hi,

what I was doing was changing the RDS station name in the radio skin. I moved it and made it larger and clicked file, save and got the message, skin saved etc.

i remeber from past editors if its not saving to your skin file ,have alook in the skineditor folder for a temp skin file that will be the 1 you just saved.

check your save path in the settings/editor settings tab in editor
          mine says

          C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins
          Riderunner / Genesis
Plugin Breaker in test BassRR Plugin Player, Wifiman_NET

To actually make the label larger you need to define a font size. Simply dragging the label box larger in skin editor will not make the label any bigger.

I think that is your issue/

                  HI<

I did change the font size, the size of the label, moved the lable, clicked save skin, message "saved skin" appears but when I shutdown and restart rr, nothing has changed no matter what I do to the skin.

maybe your skin files somehow inherited a read only permission. That would explain why editing them doesn't do anything.

And as Sal stated, you can always open the .skin file in notepad and manually edit it.
