  • Pass Plugin Command To Flash?

Is this possible? I'm trying to make some gauges to display data from my obdmpg plugin and things don't seem to be working. I can successfully get flash to display a RR label such as "AUDIOTRACK" but any attempts at getting it to display something from my plugin, such as "obd_vss" haven't been working.

Am I just missing something or is this not a function of RR?

is the label defined in the .skin? Is the case correct? Does the label display in a non flash skin? Flash reads plugin labels the exact same way as standard labels

The label is defined in the skin, case is correct, and it does display the values fine in the skin just not in flash. Like I mentioned it works fine with the default RR commands, just not with those from my plugin.

Just a little update on this problem. I found out that in order to get things to work correctly the case specified in the flash file had to be opposite that specified in the skin file/plugin. So if I define a label "obd_vss" in the skin file, creating a dynamic text box with "_root.OBD_VSS" works like a charm. If I match the case though I get nothing. This is exporting as a SWF8 in swish max.

It didn't seem to work that way for me. If I changed the plugin command to all caps and made the flash commands in all caps it didn't work. If I switched the flash commands to lowercase it worked. Not sure why, all I know is that it works. The same behavior didn't exist for the default RR commands just those from my plugin.
