  • Playlist Problem in RR 3/1/2011 with DFX v5.0.3U skin

I'm having some trouble getting playlists to load.

    I press "Music"
    "Manage Playlist"

I then highlight a playlist and press "Load"

It then goes back to the player screen with the "Playlists" button underlined

On the left side of the screen the files in the loaded playlist are displayed, but the first 4 songs are in the format "Artist" - "Song Title". The remaining songs in the playlist are "#" "Title". For example, I have a playlist for the AC/DC Album "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap". The left pane appears as follows:

AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
AC/DC - Love At First Feel
    AC/DC - Big Balls
    AC/DC - Rocker
    05 Problem Child
06 There's Gonna Be Some Rockin'
07 Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round TO Be A Millionaire)
    08 Ride On
    09 Squealer

It looks like it tries to play, but it scrolls down though the songs rapidly with no sound.

If I then go to Winamp and look at the "WINAMP PLAYLIST" window

    1. 01 Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
    2. 02 Love At First Feel
    3. 03 Big Balls
    4. 04 Rocker
    5. 05 Problem Child
    6. 06 There's Gonna Be Some Rockin'
    7. 07 Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round To Be A Millionaire)
    8. 08 Ride On
    9. 09 Squealer

If I go to Winamp 5.6.1 and load the same playlist and press play it works fine.

    1. AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
    2. AC/DC - Love At First Feel
    3. AC/DC - Big Balls
    4. AC/DC - Rocker
    5. AC/DC - Problem Child
    6. AC/DC - There's Gonna Be Some Rockin'
    7. AC/DC - Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round TO Be A Millionaire)
    8. AC/DC - Ride On
    9. AC/DC - Squealer

I then go back and look at RR, and the left side of the screen now displays:

    Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
    Love At First Feel
    Big Balls
    Problem Child
    There's Gonna Be Some Rockin'
Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round TO Be A Millionaire)
    Ride On

The playlists were created on that computer. Here is the text version ov the .m3u

#EXTINF:231,AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

    Got any ideas?

Also I've noticed the stopwatch works a little wonky. After pressing start, the "Tenths" count increments by a count of one every ten seconds. When the count got to 60, it incremented the "Seconds" by one, and the "Tenths" went back to zero. So essentially the count of one second took 6 minutes. "Lap" does nothing that I can tell. "Clear" resets the count. To exit I have to press and hold "Menu"

    i can tell you why..

there is no full qualified path in the m3u files
winamp saves only the miniumum path required...

fix the m3u files... and you will be good!

"Did you test it in carwings??"

    Sun, Come shine my way
May healing waters bury all my pain
    Wind, Carry me home
The fabric of reality is tearing apart
The piece of me that died
    Will return To live again

      Awesome! That did it!

Now, is there an easier way to make playlists? If I make them in Winamp, I have to go through and edit each one so that the first 4 songs show up correctly, and them add the drive letter to the beginning of the other songs...

      Any idea on the stopwatch?

      Thanks for the help!

              Any Clues on the stopwatch?

              • #8
carputer1, just being funny, yuk-yuk. I been listening to DreamTheater since the very first line up, before Petrucci, Labrie, Myung and Rudess weren't even part of the band yet. I even own a copy of their very first demo tape! Went to alot of their live performances over the years, always front and center for me, which is always a treat. What 'ya must see is an extension from Dream Theater called, "The Liquid Tension Experiment" Check it out. Pure awsomeness!

Also my advert should be a hint that all 99.99% Rush fans are also DT fans.

PS: jhornbr225, I think stopwatch needs to be fixed to. I could never get it to work proper either. So I just disabled it in plug-in manager for now until this gets updated.

The stopwatch was an inbtween thing, it started off using enforcer's plugin but then we deceided that we wanted to make our own built in one but run into some issues, so for the mean time, we kept enforcer's one in there and sounds like the scrn cmds are still our unfinished version
