  • How to activate winamp playlist window?

    Hi,
I'd like to send winamp a hotkey, but it doesn't work because I actually need to activate the playlist window as the hotkey doesn't work on the main window.
    I tried this : fscommand("ACTIVATE;!Winamp PE!");fscommand("SENDKEY;%{Del}");
    But doesn't work.
    Any idea?
    Thanks.
    Regards
    fabien.

I'd like to mention that the goal of this function is to remove cd tracks from playlist when the cd is extracted.
Any other way of doing this is welcome.

Just thinking outside the box here...

You could watch for the ONMEDIAREMOVED command, and when it fires, simply load an empty playlist....

Something like this in the ExecTbl.ini

      "ONMEDIAREMOVED","LOADLIST;$PLAYLISTPATH$Clear Playlist.m3u"

        Hi john,
That's a good idea but... What I want to do is to add my cd tracks on top of current playlist.
You cou could say I just have to save the current playlist and and reload it when the cd is removed. But If I had other tracks from directory on top of this new playlist afterward, It would rapidly become a mess.
That's why I think that the "remove missing files" function from winamp is the most direct way of doing this.
There must be a way to activate winamp's playlist window. Alt+del is the shortcut ("SENDKEY;%{Del}"), now I have to find out haow to activate the right window (playlist).

If you have a PL in memory, and when CD is inserted, and add the CD songs to that current playlist, there is no easy way to do that that I know of.... You can "Add To List" songs, but not a way to say all tracks on the CD added to the current playlist. To replace the songs on the Playlist, with that of the CD and revert back to that playlist when the CD is ejected..... that is easily doable...

OnMediaInsert, you can save current PL to a BeforeCD.mp3 Playlist, Clear the Playlist, and then load the CD....

OnMediaRemoved, Clear the Playlist, loadlist the BeforeCD.m3u

To add the songs from the CD to the current PL, is easy.... However, removing the CD songs, is gonna be more difficult, and probably require a Plugin or script to manage it. Does Winamp have a way to remove songs from it's playlist, that are no longer available? Because, even to access Winamps playlist window, you are gonna need to have a list of the files that were on the Playlist before the CD was added. Then remove the ones just from the CD from that playlist.

            Hi,
this script : fscommand("SENDKEY;%{Del}"); --- removes unused tracks from winamp playlist, but only if winamp's playlist window is selected.
That's why I tried : fscommand("ACTIVATE;!Winamp PE!"); --- in order to select winamp playlist window. But it doesn't seem to work.
fscommand("ACTIVATE;!Winamp PE!"); --- does work, but select player window.
I'm sure there must be a way to select winamp's plylist window.
