  • Photoshop Files for Brushed Metal Skin?

Does anyone have the psds for the latest brushed metal skin?? I want a certain red glow and make some buttons red!!

Is it possible to get them or release them?

There are some PSDs on febs site: febsperanza.3plast.com which then points to mirrors.

I don't believe there are currently any PSDs for the released RR Brushed Metal Skins, I'm working on a new set, hopefully containing most of the new features.

Once finished I will. I'm collaborating with some others here in the UK to offer a skin download portal, hopefully with MP3Cars support - waiting to hear back from the admins, it will have the ability to upload and download and also skin preview facilities.

CssNet has also asked if I can host his skins for RR, Frodoplayer and MM.

Only the ones from febs site, I don't think there are any for the RR Updates - they have all been done from JPEGs

Well, some of them were done in Corel Draw by Ildena (no PSDs), some with JPGs by Vortex, I indeed have the PSDs I made for the Mappoint and Destinator_gps screens (just the few added buttons).. but that's about it.. some screens have even wrong size of images and such (you can tell if you look closely when hovering buttons on the audio player) -- those are typically the JPG edited files.. no need to say the PSDs have much higher quality.

right guino, but nonetheless, its way easier to edit button text, icons and such with PSD's... agreed?

I made a clone with orange buttons of the brushed skin for media car with Febs PSD files keeping the 848 by 480 rez. Then after i finished i realized it looked like balls stretched to 800 600, so i gave up,, newer PSD files in 8x6 res would be cwell, sepcially with the new buttons,, EVEN though i dont use them. Its been 4 mos and i still havent tried to fix it, im either really lazy or really busy

well.. thery's supposed to look bad at 800x600.. they'll only look good at 800x600 when it's on a 16:9 screen.. if you pay attention to the brushmetal.. the buttons are oval and such.. but they're round on a 16:9 screen.. so that shoudn't matter..

well i finally redid it to strecthed 800x600 and it works fine in MediaCar (on my house pc, not in the carpc) so i decided i was going to switch to RR once i get it configured correctly to my liking. When I use my custom skin, or say you even use the default brushed skin on Febs site, the bottom two buttons get covered by an invisible box it seems. Ill take a pic if needed and post it but thatll get annoying quick if I cant get that boy fixed. Any ideas?

                            EDIT:I threw in the PIC

That is mostly weird, I'd check your objects with the Open source skin editor.. either that or post a zip with the .skin so I can look and try it..
