  • Skinning Help

Hi, I tried reading the tutorial and topics, its either it did not sink in or i did not find the answer. for example, the alpine skin, how do i direct the picture viewer button to point to a specific directory? or the games button, how do i direct it when pressed to go to a specific directory or run an application? and what if i dont want the word games in there and i want to replace to like obd-ii, how do i change it and point it to the right application? please help. thanks

    I use the "LOAD" command.

    example:

Make a skin for the app You would like to run. ( say, OBDII.skin)
    Should include OBDII_OFF.jpg, OBDII_ON.jpg, OBDII_DOWN.jpg, OBDII_EMPTY.jpg. (atleast the OFF.jpg and ON.jpg)
Then assign a button on the Menu to perform that function.

    B,523,418,151,56,"LOAD;OBDII.skin",

You can also use the "LAUNCH" command. But this is how I usually do it.

    Hope that helps.

The best thing I found that helps with most of my skinning questions is looking at other skins or learning what to search for.

True, You can just open a .skin file in notepad and see how it is constructed.

In that case it should look something like this

              B,638,139,160,44,"RUN;C:\Program Files\Road Runner\CDRIP\CDRip.exe","RipCD"
