  • Flash Intro to RR

    Check out what I put together... just learning flash =)
    http://home.ca.rr.com/fatass/TL.html

    Let the movie run twice bc the first time one of the images doesn't load right..
    If you're wondering what skin that is, its a "highly" modded version of Freedom 2.1 and it's 99% flash. I "might" release it if I get proper authorization etc...

    Enjoy =)
    I got the images for my car from www.wheelenvizio.com

    Fast car, fast PC. ;)

                nice 1.

                here's an idea... if you can make that quicker, and put on the screen the actual skin you're using, in black and white or something, then it can show that, and when rr loads up, it'll become colour to show that it has loaded.

                  I'm planning to make that my RR loader and speed it up just a bit. Need to do find a way to make the transitions smoother, its kinda choppy everywhere cuz i hacked the pics out of that envizio website.

                  - Changed the size to 800X600 and movie stops with the full pic of the skin.

                      I doub it Gizmo... it would take tons of screenshots just to make it smooth enough.

                        I like the idea

                        I would say flash makes the file smaller (don't know how much) against a .gif-file because flash uses vector-graphics rather then raster-graphics (is raster an english word?:P). raster-images are like bitmaps (e.g. Pixel 1=blue, Pixel 2=green) and vector images are like CAD-images. Shapes are build up from coordinates and so take less space.

                        But flash needs a flashplayer that needs to be initialized to for it to start the movie. So can't give you an closing answer on this one.

                        Mayby you can use an 3D-model program or ask someone in the forum that has. Make you're car model in it, and create an smooth animation whit moving the camera that you can import in flash. Then you got a very smooth transition of the car, and the interiour like you did, just a couple of pictures and zoom in on them.

                        Should make an very professional Loading screen.
                        Good luck

                          Already got it working as my "loader". After the zoom in it seamlessly goes to the rr menu skin.
