  • Problem, maybe bug or maybe something just wrong with my carputer??

Alright well here is the problem. I just installed the 1.1 patch a day or so ago and now i have a weird issue. SD is setup to automatically hibernate the computer when i turn off the truck. Well, it does that just fine, but when i turn the truck back on, my computer comes on, then it says its resuming from hibernate and does that all the way, but then as soon as you see my background color come up in windows, a window pops up saying windows is logging off, then windows is shutting down, and the computer shuts off. I can't for the life of me figure out what it is doing. I tried fully closing SD and the tray app before shutting off the truck to see if was some streetdeck thing but it did the exact same thing. Hibernated, then resumed from hibernate when i started the truck, the shut off immediately after it was done resuming from hibernate. I just don't get it. Any ideas??? Anyone else have this issue??
EDIT: Also, i forgot to add, after the computer resumes from hibernate and then immediately shuts down, if i turn the truck off and back on (turning the carputer back on) then windows fully boots up normally and works fine.. it only immediately goes into shut down mode on startup when i am resuming from hibernate. So freakin' weird!

Try removing SD from the start up menu. Just remove SD from the picture completely (not saying to uninstall, just don't let it start-up).

Because no one else has reported this issue, I'm inclined to beleive this is a computer/vehicle specific issue.

I'll try that, it seems like a xp issue to me, but i cannot for the life of me figure out why it would be doing that

I reported this issue in the bug reports about a month or so ago. I reported it on Vista though, and thought maybe it was Vista-specific. Looks like not.

I got it fixed. What I had to do was delete the hibernate file in xp, then disable hibernate support on the power options, then restart and enable it again, after that it works like normal again! Woohoo!

Nola111 - please try the solution that thepunkerguy posted and report back here and in the private testers forum with your findings.

Though, the only report I see from you that is currently open is in regards to sound not working when resuming from hibernation. This issue appears to be a different issue.
