Thinking of getting StreetDeck, but wondering:

    Bluetooth
    - Is there a module available? Is it included
    - Does it work for phones?
    - Is phone control completly integrated
EDIT: I understand that I need to buy a Parrot device, is there one included?

    FM/AM
    - Is there a module available? Is it included?
    - Does it use the car's antenna or do we need an aftermarket one?
EDIT: I understand I need an FM tuner. Any suggestions or is there one included?

    GPS
    - Is it reliable?
    - Are there Canadian maps?

    WiFi
    - Is there WiFi?
EDIT: I'm going to need a USB WiFi card to get this to work probably.

    Internet
    - Is a browser integrated?
EDIT: I can use external apps and load IE probably/

I'll look on the website to check, but want to verify.

EDIT: Is a shutdown module included for when we turn off the car? Does the screen also close and turn off>

I can answer the shutdown part. StreetDeck handles this pretty nicely. When it detects a "power button" push, it intercepts it, performs any predefined shutdown tasks, and then proceeds to do whatever you set it to do (hibernate, standby, power off, etc). With the Xenarc screen that I use (not the motorized unit in the bundle), it automatically turns off when no signal is detected.

The bluetooth hardware is not included nor available, it is being made now.

The AM/FM tuner is not included it is also being made now and will be available in a package with the bluetooth. You will have to hook it up to your car's antenna. It will be in a single DIN form factor with a built in amp to allow you to do this.

THere is no wifi hardware included.

The software support is already built. Once you hook up the hardware after it become available it should just work.

YOu don't need to worry about shutdown. Just hook up the hardware right and it will turn off and on with the car.

There is no built in internet browser. If you want to browse the internet in a generic sense, youll have to launch it as an external app.

Sorry for asking so many questions, but i'm wondering if there are Canadian maps for the GPS, specifically GTA (Greater Toronto Area), North Peel (part of GTA) and GHA (Greater Hamilton Area)?

Also, does the GPS have voice-guidance and automatic route recalculation?

Yes, it does have some canadian support now, but it will be greatly improved with the 06 nav data so your probably best off waiting for the final release.

06 maps and final release... sometime this summer. Could be early summer, could be late summer.

Radio and bluetooth will come out at the same time, I don't know when that is, but it is a very active project at this point.

                          Few more questions

I've been looking around for a package that would allow me to combine, Nav, DVD/MP3/CD and Computer functions for abit, and kinda fell on this website and this forum by acident... I'm glad I did .

As I understand it, this is running on an windows XP OS, if this is the case what is the chance that Voice to Text, and voice control could be added? I'm thinking something like using the bluetooth headset for your phone to talk to the system to do task that you would do with gestures. Or even as comlicated as telling the system to do a series of tasks and such!

Also how does this set-up connect to car amps, and speakers, whats the sound quality?

I've almost settled for the Pioneer AVIC-N3 System, and adding a PC system to it some how, But I like this idea much better, any chance I can see/hear one in operation Near Baltimore MD

                            Streetdeck already supports voice control.

Sound card output is essentially a headphone jack.

There is usually someone from mp3car at the local maryland meets. See the gatherings sub forum.
