    Hello folks,

What hardware is required for XM Radio that can interface with Stretdeck? What setup has been tested and works?

    Thanks guys.

I don't know of any configuration that doesn't work. We have tested with XM PCR, XM Direct - TimeTrax, XM Direct - hacked serial cable, XM Direct - USB thing on the store.

Any recommendation as to which works best GoC? I haven't fully tested my XMDirect+TimeTrax setup, but I have heard murmors of discontent re: coming out of suspend (because it's USB based).

              Hey GOC,

I just recieved the usb thing from the store - does the polarity of the power matter? Also, the Streetdeck XM setup has choices of com1 (serial) or com5 (proliphic usb to serial port). Do I use the comm 5 setup?

              Thanks again

Yes, the center pin is positive.

Just click the detect button, it should find it for you. The prolific is probably your GPS and Comm 5 is probably the XM though.

Found the driver at this site in case anybody else needed it:

                        http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/fold...usbwinvcp.html

                        You just need to register.

Can you pm me? I'd like to put the driver up on some webspace that doesn't require a login.

Which setup will not require a Sound card with a line in jack for StreetDeck??????

In other words, will it work at all, just through usb or serial, without any analog inputs.

(I'm using SPDIF output from my sound card with a toslink cable going to a car)
