  • Cant update

Downloaded the SDK, and then try to update to new version and get update archive is invalid. Help..

    Hey

There was somthing wrong with the updater - you cannot have the update saved in a folder with spaces in the name..

Try moving the file to c:\temp\ or somthing and run it from there.

          yup. nothing seems to work.
I downloaded the developers one, then went and downloaded the updater update, and all. Ran it from c:/ and it didn't work. everytime it says i have an invalid archive. also downloaded the newest update and ran that from c:/ and get the same issue. is there a place to download each update in steps, so I could try ..4.1 the 4.2 etc..

The issue isn't with an invalid archive.
The issue is with the update package (.SDZ file) not being able to be laoded from a path with a space in it.
If you're getting an invalid archive, that's something on your end, because nobody else appears to be having that issue....

I would say yes, but it does the exact same thing on another computer too.

                The common thread being you.
No offense, but nobody else is having problems updating to 1.0.4.4...

What are you using for a unZip tool? Winzip? Winrar? What version?

Whatever. From what I understand you download the SDK. Install it. Then to update it to 4.4 you download the zip file and put the .sdu to say c:/

From there I get the error "The Streetdeck Updat archive in invalid. The update will not continue"

If I place the .sdu inside the streetdeck program folder I get this error. "Failed to open Streetdeck Update archive"

I would expect that there needs to be a download of say 4.2 or 4.3 first, but there is not a link for that.

I am using windows zip tool.

The current setup is 1.0.4.3. The latest update gets you to 1.0.4.4.

Does it work if you save the file to C:\1_0_4_4.sdu go to the windows run dialog and type in
                    C:\program files\StreetDeck\SDUpdate.exe "C:\1_0_4_4.sdu"
