  • Screen Rotation

    Hey all...

Just got the trial and was trying it out on my carputer and I am having an issue with the screen rotation.

For certain reasons, namely easier in-dash install, I have my vga monitor installed upside down..and am using Pivot Pro to automatically rotate it to the proper positioning. This has all worked great for 2 years with all sort of different front-ends...until I install StreetDeck that is.

For whatever reason when StreetDeck installs it flips my screen upside down (right side up) on me.

    Any ideas?

It probably has something to do with the fact that StreetDeck uses Direct3D. Does this problem even happen in windowed mode and is your start menu flipped or is it just StreetDeck thats not right side up?

Normally it is just the program that gets flipped...but when I installed StreetDeck...now everything is flipped... and it won't go back at all.

Is there something that can be written in a patch or a mod that will allow to rotate the screen??

I am trying to use irotate or Pivot Pro and still...as soon as I start Street Deck, everything, including the windows desktop gets flipped.

Also if your using a NVIDIA card, the NV software supports rotating, this might work better as I believe it supports Direct3d/OpenGL in rotated mode...

I am actually using an EPIA 10000M...so the nVidia is a no go.

Well, I played around and played around with it and still got nowhere...so I took the monitor out of my vehicle and opened it up to see if I could flip the actual screen around inside the case...well...that would be more hassle that it was worth.

So I installed the screen back in my vehicle, this time, making some mods so that the screen could fit up-right. You can't really see any mods that I did and now I have my screen up-right and everything seems to be working well so far.
