  • IO.dll error

    Code:
Unable to extract IO.SYS. Log in as a user who has such permission.
I send the error report, that window closes, then I get this error window:

    Code:
    Runtime error 216 at 032D2C46
This happened after I downloaded the trial version. I installed it, and immediately ran it. Before anything came up, these two error windows came up.

One the libraries we use sometimes causes this the first time StreetDeck is run, we haven't found a fix yet, but after it occurs the first time, it shouldn't happen again.

      cool

was this posted somewhere else and I missed it?

sorry if that's the case, a search for IO.dll and IO.sys returned nothing.

No, we encountered it recently through internal testing.

            TiniXP Beast edition + StreetDeck

I have this same error, but I noticed that this is only when I added it to the Start UP items, if I don't StreetDeck runs with no error.

*Edit* If you are not running on an Infill T3, you should delete io.dll, then make a dummy io.dll so installshield won't try to reintall it by copying and renaming any file like warning.bmp to io.dll.

Same here, when SD application is added to start up this IO.dll error shows up.

Deleting IO.dll? What are the functions for it (input/output) ?

What's Infill T3? Is that the new DDin unit?

                    Yes.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
                    How about the Wiki?

                      Work great!!!

It works great using Tiny XP Beast, after renaming the io.dll.

                      Thank YOU.

I've got the same problem after I uninstalled the trial and installed the commercial product. If you just rename the file from io.dll to io.dll.bak you get Windows trying to find the dll on your CD drive.

I'm a bit frustrated and have not tried to *copy* io.dll to io.dll.bak. After I muster the energy, I'll do so and let you guys know what's up.

Just to get this right... StreeDeck shipped a DLL that should have only been shipped with the hardware version? I'd like to know the real story here and not just use tribal knowlege about renaming files. Please, correct me if I'm off base here.

This problem only appears on some platforms. The current web installer does not have this problem so you should be able to install it over the current setup or just simply create a dummy io.dll file by renaming a new text file or something.

That file is only usefull for the Infill T3 there is now another setup option to install it seperatly rather then always installing it.

The DVD is still not patched as current as the web installer yet, but should be soon.

You are right. Creating a dummy io.dll file did the trick.

I just get so excited about this software that I overlook the obvious. StreetDeck is like Christmas morning to me. My mind is in a fog.

                              So far, so good.
