  • Running In Testmode YES/NO

I realize that not being able to access certain modules is a safety feature, but I would like to be able to bypass it. I did do my research and found the -testmode
but I find the "TestMode Detected, Continue?" Box to be rather annoying (I am sure that is why it is there) but I would still like to be able to run it without this safety feature.

Does any one know of any easy way to over ride this yes/no box?
I was thinking that a batch file or java script that would run at startup and resume could automatically click yes for me would work great. If you have any good ideas please help.

Please some body, any body, gosh i just want a passenger to be able to change settings or watch a movie while moving, and the mandatory yes or no box is annoying. I think there should be a setting in the proram it self that can turn off the safty features totally. Please help!

I agree, rear seat passengers watching on a flip down may want to see a movie and having it locked up isn't right to me. Something needs to be fixed there. My buddy just got SD in and didn't know of that "feature" and was not happy. His kids weren't either.

Well the loss of functionality gains legality.

The creators didn't want to have to fuss around with the law.

I'm sure that they will create a better solution in the future...

As for now, live with it?

Do you seriously think that if a Police Man stops you and you have a computer in your car, he is gona check to see if you can drive and change settings at the same time? No other Frontend has this wonderful "feature" seriously thanks for your input

The law is very clear on the fact that playing videos for entertainment purposes in view of the driver is illegal while moving. Irregardless of whether you are able to do it by some other means or that you would never be caught, if we made a product that was intentionally designed to make it as easy as possible to do something that could be reasonably be construed as dangerous or illegal, we would be liable for negligence.

I had read what chuck JUST said a while ago.

Thanks for being an ignorant ***... just trying to answer the question as constructively as possible and of course you had to put in your nasty comments...

Very Good point, and I do understand that you have to cover your ***, that I accept. My argument is that you should be able to disable the warning if you feel the need to run in testmode, I never mentioned that you should remove the safety feature only that I should be able to completely bypass it if I wish. As a matter of fact I originally started this thread just to get some advice on how to bypass it for myself, nothing else. The fact that I wanted to watch videos or have a video play in view of the driver was completely assumption, I was more referring to the ability of the passenger to change setting while moving. If you have any info that would help me to accomplish this I would appreciate your input, thanx.
