  • HELP Sirius in Streetdeck HELP!

Hello, can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to purchase streetdeck for my car because I like how it has phone and GPS built into it, however I have sirius sat radio and it seems that Streetdeck does not support sirius on this demo that I have installed on my computer. My question is can i get my sirius to work on this frontend without having to jump through a ton of hoops?

I have all the hardware to make it work on my computer. I bought all my hardware from Mitch's world of cool stuff. Here is the link:

    http://www.rush2112.net/

    Any help would be awesome!!!!

    Thank you
    Phil

Why is the BT Phone not worth it? or does it not work correctly? What frontend will work great with all option including sirius and bt phone?

      Thanks Phil

        Thanks Phil
Well personally I think handsfree is pretty annoying and makes people look like asses unless they need it... which 99.9% of the people dont.

As far as SD & Bluetooth... Search:
        http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/stre...as-passed.html
        http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/stre...gle-stock.html
        http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/stre...pdated-sd.html
        http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/stre...-problems.html

For a frontend that does Sirius, I think they all do. RoadRunner does and that is what I use with my Sirius receiver.

For a frontend that does phone... Well if you had a Phoco license then RoadRunner. If you dont, then you can't get one anymore, and therefore there is only Centrafuse. But it does not work with all phones. Actually it works with pretty much a very very limited list but David is working on a new solution but I havent been following that.

Thanks for the links, I got to be honest with you, I am really good with networking and hardware but not so good with software programming. And when I try to get RR to work it just fails everytime! Bit over my head, thats why I been looking into SD I like how it works and seems pretty cool all the same! My real concern is sirius, I tryed to set up sirius on the downloaded demo version and couldn't get it to work. But it works currently in my car while I am using digital dash! (I don't like this software at all)

So Guess i can do without my phone working, cus to be honest with you, I most likely would be the one with the WRONG type of phone anyways you know? Just my luck. So guess back to my original question, how do i get sirius to working in SD?

I am going on vacation in three weeks and would like to have this installed with the NAV working and the Sirius working.

Thanks for all your replys, plus your link is pretty bad ***! I might just pickup a few of those so i can control the lights in my house.

          Thanks again
          Phil

For RR, download Winamp and the installer. Wnamp just press next next next finish and it is installed. For RR, push next next next finish. restart. And it works. Dont go messing with the binaries or anything. Just donwload the installer. But RR is free and therefore no navigation. You have to buy it. Just like the majority of your money for SD or CF go to navigation licenses.

And just to let you know we are having a sale until monday for $45 off regular price if you are interested.

there is a plugin for sirrius ( id no't know how the hardware is attached, but I assume in some fashion like Xm) that someone has developed:

                  http://www.mp3car.com/wiki/index.php...s_%28Addins%29

Please use the search functions as all your questions can be answered primarly through there. I don't use Sirrus just XM. And as stated above, PHONE DOES NOT WORK. It is still under testing and do out in 2029,..uh err.....sorry its coming soon.

I use Sirius in SD, it works like a charm. I have the MJS SC-C1 usb adapter from the rush2112 site. There are a few posts dedicated to this hardware. You don't need the digimod. All you need to do it get the MJS adapter and the SC-C1 and launch SD using:

                    "C:\Program Files\streetdeck\StreetDeck.exe" -sirius

Here's the link to one of the older posts:

When using the -sirius it works like a charm. Far better than the digimod.

Question though. Ever since using the -sirius tag, my channel icons just show up as red squares. Is there a way to get my channel icons back?

Icons??? I've only had sirius a couple weeks and thats the only way I've seen it. Theres different colors for different stations. Rock is red, news is blue, sports are green?, and so on.... So I don't know. But if you figure it out, let us know.

When you use the digimod, you see each channel's icon instead of stupid red squares. Serious downgrade!!!

I've never used the digimod and all I get is stupid red squares. I saw the Icons for about a minute today, when I plugged in a firewire drive, but they have since disappeared. But they were pretty cool for a hot minute. Maybe someday they'll come back from never never land.

I noticed that when I was looking to update the Station Images in XM, it might be possilbe to add the sirruis icons in there. I don't know how it calls them but the path for XM is:

                              Under your Documents: /Streetdeck/UI/StationArt

There is the folder for XM, I would think they would do the same for Sirius stations. Someone could easily test this if they creat a "Sirius" Folder, then use an image in the following format (this is how the XM ones are): PNG 150x150 and name the file as the station number ex 1.PNG, 2.PNG....

Hope that can help someone, I was personally getting miffed at looking at blank stations or station that have changed names and I couldn't see them, minor irritant, but one nonetheless.
