  • UI Elements

The StreetDeck UI elements are nice. In fact I like the speedometer. As a developer of applications that get information from the vehicle, I need other UI elements than StreetDeck provides. Something along the lines of what might be in something like Chart FX Gauges . Is there a way to use external COM or .Net based UI components in SD or is there a facility to draw my own?

      UI Elements

I do know that. I use OBD as a point of reference everyone can understand. What I really want to do is control my car. Things like roll the windows up and down, lock and unlock doors, and many other things. For an idea check out the videos here.

What I really want is to use my own UI elements if possible to do this as the StreetDeck UI elements do not cover the gamut of what I would like to do.

You have to make your own UI elements, but you have pretty low level control over doing this in StreetDeck. They won't work like the built in StreetDeck controls rather you have to overload the Module_OnRender and Module_MouseDown events and process things appropriatly.

Look at teh render sample in the examples project. You can render images with stretching, coloring, and alpha blending, or render circles, squares, lines, gradients, etc.
