  • Button Text Problems

I am working on my SD skin and I am trying to adjest the text that is displayed on the button itself in SD. When I select the button panel and bring up its properties, then I edit the text of the button it looks good immediately after i complete the change. When I test out the panel and leave that module and come back to it all the text that I changed on the button panels reverts back to the defaults labels, music, video etc. Has anyone had this issue as well or is there something I am missing. It seemed like a straight forward process but apparently it's not.

Yep, I have seen this problem before. Delete the original buttons and add new buttons. The originals revert back...

The problem is the default buttons like to shortcut functions. When a button has a shortcut function set as the function to execute when pressed, it will automatically rename the button with the name of the shortcut. This is because the user can change what the shortcut function executes. If you change the function to not be a shortcut function, you should then be able to change the text.
