  • printk-times added to new Linux Kernel

    Linus just added the "printk-times" patch to the main kernel tree. It looks like the next linux kernel will allow you to display times at each printk (in milli/micro seconds) so you can tune your boot.

    You'll have to select kernel 2.6 and select today's changes (2005-03-09).

    Handy, not very useful for most users but pretty cool for the geek in you. I'll use it, but Im not sure what for.. yet.

      Neat. You know, I've been meaning to contribute *something* to the Linux kernel... I really ought to take a look.
