  • freeDRive gps with cedega

    Hi I'm a transgaming subscriber and I'm trying to run a d3 sdk in linux with cedega.I give up trying of mapmonkey and I'm trying freedrive..the installer works ok but when I try to run I have the error in the attached picture.
    any hints?
    (this is the thing keeping me to go to linux in my car)

    I think you should to find an updated version of the file comctl32.ocx
    and copy it in cedega.

      This looks very interesting, keep us informed as to how it goes.

      Comctl32.ocx is one of the dependancies for freedrive.

        I'd go further and say it is one of the controls, used a lot in VB programs generally.

          the listview is from the latest vb runtime files. try THIS one.. :-)

            nup nothing still the same error.freedrive install visual basic 6 before installing itself. not good luck with this too

                  Yes, there's some file you need to edit. (can't remember it at the moment )

                    You need to register the ocx I think manually somehow.

                      Did you install in a win9x, 2000 or xp environment

                      If this is the same problem as with CivIV then if you install in a win9x environment all of the necessary files are installed. Then if you run it as an xp environment it finds the files and runs. (I don't know why you have to run as xp, but I do know that CivIV won't install properly in an xp environment, but won't run properly in a 9x environment)
