  • P2140 woes

    Howdy,

I had a mac mini and P2140 working fine in a friends landy.
It went off to the garage for some work, and in their wisdom they decided to re-wire it.

    Now it doesnt work.

I have stripped it all out and have it connected to my bench PSU. I am putting 13v in the Red, and have black grounded. When I connect yellow to the 12v too, all that happens is the red light flashes briefly.

When looking as PSUMon, all that changes with the application of the yellow wire is the ignition led on the GUI changes to green.

Cannot help but think that I am doing something stupid; any pointers please?

    Thanks,
    Simon.

I have just tried touch the blue to the +12v, the green LED lights in the GUI next to pulse but that is it.

      Thanks.

Too difficult to get the garage to buy you a new one or fix their error?

I cannt believe that it is really dead.
PSUMon talks to it fine. Doesnt seem to be any point posting on Cartnetix forums these days.

As for the garage replacing it one can but try.

Measure the output with a multimeter to see if it is dead or not.
