  • Great new peripheral for macs only

This is the new Targus bluetooth presenter made specifically for macs. It's got your normal presenter features like previous and next buttons, a laser pointer, and some assignable buttons, but the biggest feature is on the center button. It's actually got an optical sensor on it, just like the ones found in optical mice. It's used like a normal trackpad by moving your thumb across it. I have to say, it works great. It's really got a quality build, although it is a little on the large side. It's switchable between presentation mode (for front-end use) and mouse mode (for desktop use). In presentation mode, it's got previous and next buttons, a volume controller and two programmable buttons at the top, with the center button operating the laser pointer. In mouse mode, the optical sensor is activated, it's got a left and right click along with the same other button usage as the other mode. It's like it's made specifically for MacCar users. My only gripe is that there are no dedicated up and down buttons for FrontRow usage. I have not been able to get the drivers to work so I could reprogram the buttons either, but I haven't tried to install them since the first day they came out, and I'm sure new ones have been released since then.

Wiimote + Remote Buddy is better and a bit cheaper

Try Remote Buddy with the presenter and you may be able to get the buttons to work.
