  • 800x600 Xenarc...squished on wake

So, why does this happen every once in awhile:

When I bring the computer back from sleep, or turn it on, or whatever...it gets a signal and turns on with the image on the screen normal...then it says PC then 800x600 and the screen squishes either to the left or right so that a good 1/3 of the screen is blank.

Odd thing is that the touchscreen works just as if the screen wasnt squished. Pushing the bottom left corner (even when part of the 1/3 empty space) activates the button in the bottom corner for example.

    Makes sense...and yet it doesnt.

Sometimes bringing the computer to sleep and waking again will fix this issue. But its kind of annoying.

I have the same issue, I've found that coming up with a fresh boot rather than hibernation fixes it... I'm curious what xport does to fix this so I can have the fix without having to run xport. Anyone have any clue?

      Is xport available for mac?

use a command line to change the resolution to 1024x768 on startup and then change it back to 800x600 5 seconds later..
google you will find command lines to do that

You want me to run a command line when the computer wakes from sleep...as in run an applescript terminal command (you are aware this is for OSX, might matter?) that is set to run for on wake and startup (ive no clue how to do that)

download the latest xport, an enable the video sync function. Most likely will fix your problem.

when the problem appears..go into OSX settings and change the resolution back and forth and see if that fixes it..

                    Try XPort

It shuts off the video output for a very short period causing the monitor to synchronize again. See if there's a way to do it in Mac OSX.
Possibly this or the power button on the monitor.

You can download xport from curiosity's sig, or here is the direct link:
                          http://curioustech.home.insightbb.com/xport.html

to the OP, i'm not sure if it'll apply to your case, but i had a lilliput doing the same thing, and all i had to do is change the resolution to 1024 instead, and i had no problem since. maybe give that a shot.

Because something when I start my CAR the computer wakes but the monitor not!
