  • M4-ATX as Mac Mini PSU?

    Hi,

I'm getting my Mac Mini next month and I already have a M4-ATX PSU.

Is there a way to modify this to work with the Mac Mini?

If not, where can I get a CNX-P1900 in the UK?

    Thanks
    JM

What voltage does the new Mini require?

Older Mini's required 18v plus a special iSense line or they would not turn on.

Bluehawk is the only one I know who has modified a new Mini to run in the car and I believe he burned two (count them, TWO) out because he was using 18 volts instead of 12.

It's the old mini I'm getting.

      So it won't work?

The M4 is an ATX compliant power supply. It doesn't output the required 18 volts.
