  • My Lilliput EBY701 doesn't work fine on Mac mini

Hi guys, I'm Italian, excuse me for my English.
I have a Mac mini in my car, and I installed the Lilliput EBY701 monitor, because it was the only that I could integrate in my interior, wothout making a disaster!

Everytime I use it, the touchscreen after sometime stops to work, and I have to turn off , and then to return on it.
The monitor works great, the problem is only of the touch!
Yesterday I have tried it on a Wondows, and it seemed to work fine.

I have tried lots of drivers, what other can I try to solve this problem?

    Thx a lot!

I just happened to catch this post while web surfing.
My only question before I can come up with a possible solution: how is the mac mini connected to your lilliput monitor? If you use the mini-dvi port, there should be no issues. If however, you are using the mini display port, it may give you problems touchscreen wise.
Maybe you fixed the problem since then, so don't be afraid to let us know you found out the culprit!

          Thanks for the answers!
I don't remember now what drivers I have, but I've tried all of them, included the more recent, so I think the drivers aren't the problem.

My monitor is connected with the mini display port, so I think it can be the problem!
So, do I have to buy an adaptor for the mini-dvi port?
Is it a problem that has happened to other people too?

          Thx a lot!

            Book 'em, dano!
Alright, I posted this pic with my reply because I also should have questioned which mac mini you have. If the mac mini in the car is the one to the right (the gray and white model), then you should use the mini DVI port. I had to replace my mac mini once before, and thought that mini Display Port - VGA cable would work the same way my mini DVI-VGA cable did. Turns out, the touchscreen function will not work properly using the Display Port. I couldn't even tell you why that is.
So in your situation, you will need to get the Mini DVI - VGA cable (about € 19,00 by you) to experience full touch screen functionality.
If you mac mini, however, is the one to the left, then you only have the mini display port, and the HDMI connections. Maybe an HDMI - VGA connector can help you; but I am not sure.
            Hope all this helps you!

I have the old Mac mini, the one on the right. I will buy the mini DVI - VGA cable. I have only to find it somewhere.
Hope I will return here with good news! Thx! Thx! Thx!
