  • Rally stupid question, hopefully an easy answer...

I have a 'media player' option in my front-end. It simply uses the AxWindowsMediaPlayer object.

I have set it up so that I control the video playing with my own controls and the media player is just the playing video. I have made it so when I click the video, it resizes the mediaplayer to fit the screen and if I click it again, it sizes back to its original position, in my form.

I have everything working exactly as I want apart from one thing....

If the video is 'double clicked', the mediapayer goes into full screen mode, and I don't want this, can the double click option be disabled. I have looked everywhere for it.

Also, when in full screen mode, the mouse click pauses the video.

    Help

PS. The title should say Really, not Rally, perhaps I am as stupid as the question

I have had the same problem, with my system. However from reaseaching the solution, I have found that the codec being used to play the video, is what causes the video to do what it does. check if you codec software has some kind of option to turn off the mouse. I am working on a commerical software so I really cant go into detail but. you can (depending on what programming language you are using) Use the windows API calls the capture mouse clicks outside your form and respond to them how you see fit.

I believe there is an option to disable the clicking of the embedded object... This is a property of the axWMP object. You will want to control the sizing of the object in the clicked event of the OLE object.
Play with it, 'til it's broke.

        Sorted it,

In the properties, simply set 'Ctlenabled' to Fasle.
