  • Actual jukebox software?

Does anyone know if there is some software out there that would function like an actual jukebox (quarters aside). What I mean is, you can browse through the music, maybe albums, etc. but then when you tell it to play something, instead of playing it instantly, it rather basically enqueue's it to a list. The reason I want it is because I would think itd be real handy at party's. Setup my box in a corner hooked to speakers with a touchscreen monitor on it. Then people can walk up to it, pick a few songs and they get to hear what they want. Anyway, just throwing it out there to see if I can find anything.

    Thanks

Media player can. I have a wmv on how to do it. Its 4 megs, I can send it to you. Also Media Player 9 (RC) says it can do some stuff like that, but I haven't tried it.

I am working on a project called "Juke32" (as in 32-bit software jukebox). Check out the thread "A new addition to the pantheon of partially complete software".

sorry to ressurect this old post but it seems as though I found what I was looking for, almost exactly that is. Its quite simple, right now requires touchscreen (or mouse of course) and actually does everything I was looking for.

                          eJukebox

best I can tell, you get the full version for $30 and for $10 more you can get features that will let you control it over the web (the last part Im not sure about but thats what it seems).

I'm running win xp pro and I can't get eJukebox to open...It did the DB build and then it just closes without showing anything on the screen??? I tried D-Clicking the icon again I get the "try before you buy" screen, I click continue and the same thing happens, nothing. Any one else have this problem?

Im running 2000 but when I do run it, it mentions features for windows xp.... I dont know why it wouldnt work. I know there's a forum for questions, etc. You might look over at that and see if you can find any answers.
