  • winamp music collection program??

I searched but no luck so I'm seeking for your idea
I'm looking for a music collection or library program for winamp
I found few but all of them are design for desktop compter. I need one for touch screen (800x600) . It can not have small buttons , and I don't want too many options just simple , easy to use (in a car) music library program.

Any idea, where I can find one?? , or I want to make my own but don't know where to start

i don't know any for winamp,
but if you have full size touch screen, you are not limited to winamp.. could use some other application..
I like musicmatch jukebox for it's library ...
it's skinnable so big buttons must not be a problem.

im not sure if this is the same thing you want...but the new version of winamp 2.9 has a "Winamp Library" just like winamp 3. This new version has the best parts of winamp3, without all the bugs in it. I think it was released last week or so? I just got it last night and its pretty nice.

Well So I decide to make my own winamp3 skin , here is screenshot of my skin, still working progress. (It's taking longer than I though since this is my first WA3 skin and need to deal with a lot of script but it's going ok so far)

I'll let you know when I'm done with my WA3 skin

thank you guys for your messages.

Well , it's amost done. Maybe nextweek?
One thing I made a mistake was that I was working on my Home computer with 32bit of color but my 10.4 tft screen is only suppoort upto 16bit which makes some of color don't come out right. I just found out about this and I'm going though all graphics to fix this.

I made a program a while ago for my music collection. It shows the mp3s/oggs/wavs in a menu style. (I have never seen or used an lcd touch screen in person so I don't know if the menus would be too small) Clicking on a song in the menu will add it to the end of the playlist (and "press the play button" if winamp is not already playing) If this would actually be useful to anyone, I could probably change the size of the window to be full screen, I just don't know if the menus are too small. Also, it only works with winamp 2.x not 3.

Not sure if this will help but this is what I use on my Intranet here.

                      http://www.turnstyle.com/andromeda/

Not much set up to do - once running it dynamically creates the media lists (and play lists).

As for the media player you use - thats up to you.....

If anyone takes a look at Andromeda and would like a free alternative to it here's Zina (Zina Is Not Andromeda)

                        http://www.pancake.org/zina.html

Not quite as feature rich as Andromeda, but you can't beat the price.
