  • An OS made specifically for EPIA M

qrey.org has developed an OS built around the EPIA M mobos. It boots in less than 13 seconds and can be installed within a few minutes.

It's fairly new, and not much eye candy. But it does seem to have potential in the mp3car world.

Maybe someone here knows some programming skills and can direct it towards a carputer OS

bye- out looking for more linux OS's
Falcon cr53 w/ via epia m10000. Nokia 3650 blutooth phone.
Better than winamp. Click here for qcd player.

Good thing people don't think that way about American software

It looks to just be a stripped down Linux distro.. So if you aren't already willing to use Linux then unfortunately it probably won't help much.

I've created an XP Embedded Image for the EPIA 800Mhz System, Im sure it wouldnt be too difficult to do it for the EPIA-M!

Well, I don't want to start a trollfest, but here's my POV...
The Anti-french resentment in the US is neither smart nor diplomatic.
Let me remind you that the world is still waiting on those "unmistakable proofs" that the Saddam Hussein regime still had Chemical/Bacteriological weapons. All "smoking guns" found so far were false alarms.
You'd think that if there were any such weapons, the US government would proudly come forward and show that saying "We told you so..."
The french are not opposed to the US (yet) but to the way this whole thing was done. Pre-emptive wars killing countless civilians are not the proper way to handle world relations.

Now, if you'll excuse me, let's go back on the proper subject of this discussion board. If you want to discuss this more, I invite you to join the #world-relations channel on freenode.

                          Sincerely

A french man that is getting tired of certain persons ways with respect to others
I don't need no stinkin' startup-shutdown controller... That's what journalized filesystems are for...

13 second boot time is pretty good but a computer is no good if nothing you have works on the os

                              http://sourceforge.net/projects/dashpc/
dashpc is linux based, might get something working with that
