    Hey guys,

i want to create a gui for a project that i'm working on. thing is, i dont want this to be windows based due to boot times and stability issues. The gui will need to read values from an arduino (serial). I can code the arduino w/o a problem but i've never done anything gui related before. so this will be a learning experience for me. Does anyone have any suggestions on a program to look into that can give a relatively high end look (not a boxy windows based gui... rather a gui that you'd see in a video game) and can be run on linux? (raspberry pi or beagleboard black)

    thanks
