what kind of joystick? Gravis has a program on their site that maps the buttons to any program or game. I have the gamepad pro on my desktop for games, and use it as a remote for mediaplayer and keystrokes for some programs.
I have just recieved my lurvely new pad, looks like a xbox controller, 12 buttons, 2 analog 2 axis thumb sticks, 1 digital 4 way thumpad. (buttons 11 and 12 are thumb push on the analog, like xbox)
Thats a possibility of 4 analog(x1&y1+x2&y2) and 16 digital inputs........
All buttons can be pressed together, its usb, XP loves it and it shows up in control panel
cost less than a fatmans walmart pizza.
But NO GIRDER PLUGIN is on the girder site for joysticks, they have hidden it, moved it, taken it down.
So if anyone can write something to read this damn thing and make windows do things etc.
I just cant wait to hack it to bits and connect it to my SW controls, and use the analog thumb thing for the mouse, dont know what to do with the other analog thumb thing.....
Enough already! joy2mouse version3. I use it with my joystick and it allows you to map every button and hat movement to anything you want. Even allows combinations to work for additional commands. My 8 way hat controls mouse movement, the trigger is the right mouse click, holding button 2 and pulling the trigger gives me a left mouse click. Buttons 2-6 combos allow vol up/down, rrnext/rrprev, jump to gps, jump to xm, exit, etc.. and on and on and on..........
