  • FrodoPlayer: Finally Something for ya'll to play with !

This is a functionality test for you to play with. This is not the frodoplayer
but it is part of it (at least the underlying code).

I'm not sure of any dependencies but if you have xp with all the updates
I think it will work. If not post here and I will include what you need.

    Instructions:

    Unzip to a folder.

Run DBBuilder.exe to build your database.
after DB is built exit and run functest.exe
everything else should be self explanatory.

if you mess up your db or want to start new, their is a blank db in the
template folder that you can copy into the main folder. Then you can
    rebuild.

TEST TEST TEST !!! I need Feedback !!

UPDATED: !! Now has directory for the man below

UPDATE # 2 !!! Now supports Ogg Vorbis.
    Please read Readme.txt for details.

        Yep, works here (XPSP1).

One thing, will you have to run DB Builder every time you change your MP3 collection? I can see this becoming somewhat of an annoyance.

I still prefer browsing a tidy directory structure. My opinion I know, but I think it still counts as feedback

          AWSOME!

Works perfectly (almost). it detected all folders but said it only scanned 1707 files. I have 2,057 mp3's

One thing. I'm not the most brilliant developer, but these recursive directory and file search source codes don't seem to find all my sub folders or mp3 - and i have no idea why. Your search engine seemed to find all directories. I was wondering if you would like to share your source code. I would also like to know what you used to get the id3 tag info. I can only find code to get v1 tags and not v2. Any help would be much appreciated .
We are, will have and forever will be...
          But not tommorrow!

db verification and updating will be built in to the app, if you do update the collection, you will just tell it to update, and it will do it in the background.
I'm working on an autoupdate schedule.

Browse by directory is the first thing I implemented, I'm sorry I didn't include it in this test.

hmmmm, interesting. Are you sure all of them are mp3s ? as in *.mp3
maybe some are mp2 or something. This little prog only gets *.mp3

Sure I can help with tags
                  lemme find the original code

edit: I can give you the recursive dir code as well
