Most of us seem to be developing our custom frontend software with MS Visual Basic 6.0 from what I can see. I have been programming in VB 6.0 for a few years, along with C++. For these GUI applications VB was the easiest to design/test/debug a program rapidly compared to doing the same task in Visual C++.

Now with Windows XP being common and Visual Studio .NET being released for a while now, I wanted to know if anyone here has played around with Visual Basic .NET Once you get past the learning curve (going from VB to VB.NET) it seems to be very powerful.

Can anyone share their own experiences with using this new platform?

And let the discusion / arguments begin!
