Got it and Destinator! Destinator is better and worth the extra!

Why do you say this? I'm looking into sat nav software but with the price tag of Destinator being soooo high I need persuading

To me Destinator (D2) uses SDAL format maps for starters which seem from my experience quite reliable.

Where I live I found that Infomap lacked in accuracy especially with regards to local roundabouts locally. Obviously I only use it locally to test aginst local knowledge but the point being if It doesn't know my area well how well does it know areas I don't!

Also InfoMap is not really designed for touch screen where as D2 adapts nicely and those who have used the SDK seem to have built it in nicely to their car front ends like CarBox and AiPC

Don't get me wrong there are features from InfoMap I'd like to see in D2 and some bugs in D2 like it doesn't seem to read how many yards to go before a turn, It just says "... yards to the roundabout" sometimes it says a figure but I'm don't know if I can trust some of the voice instructions?

Also POI seems to be lacking in D2

I am waiting for D3 but I'm sure that others can add to this, really its a personal choice and to be honest it boils down to simple clean interface that uses accurate information

Yep, bought it, used it once, unstalled it and about to bin it...probably the worst mapping software I ever used

This is only your opinion, i think it depends on where you are but for the price it's a good start into sat-nav. Lots of people on this forum are using it, i'm sure the others are better in ways but i could not justify spending over 150 more for something that does (in the end) the same job!

As said before i use it EVERYDAY with no major problems at all (and lots in and around London Ricky327) I would agree that it's not made for touch screens though i just use a stylus to input and the XP on screen keyboard.

Ricky327 maybe if you are going to bin it let corsamel have it for the price of the postage, seems a great waste of software just to put it in the bin!

            Regards
