  • WinAMP3 and Arby skin/album cover problem....

I have done a search and none of the search results have solved the problem.

I recently reformatted my entire car system and switched from 2K to XP. Everything used to work fine in 2K, now most of the time everything works except now Winamp 3 fails to maintain the Arby skin, it always defaults back to the classic skin.

After I select the Arby skin and relaunch winamp I get an error:

"The procedure entry point vsprintf could not be located in the dynmic link library MSVCR70D.DLL"

I hit the OK button and Winamp takes extra long to load and defaults back to the classic skin. If I go to preferences and load the Arby skin it works fine until I have to exit and reload winamp.

Also when I do launch the Arby skin the Album Cover does not show up in the Windows tab to check. The albumcover.wac is in the WAC folder. All the required DLL's are in the system folder.

    Anyone have any ideas.

OK - got the Arby skin to load as default. I reinstalled Winamp and now it works. However, I still get the same error when I launch Winamp. And the album cover option does not appear in the Window List.

    Any suggestions?

OK - no more error message. I completely removed the Albumcover.wac file and now no errors. I really want album covers back. What the heck is going on?
