  • Connect GPS message in Routis

    Coders,

Seems like everytime I come out of standby or hibernate, routis *****es, "please make sure the gps reciever is properly connected." Pressing the recconect icon seems to work.

How hard would it be to write a tiny program (or edit the system settings) that tells it to automatically reconnect after standby/hib?

    Thanks in advance.

I think FrodoPlayer 1.09 is going to take care of this for us.

      Well yes and no.

I'm going to add the option to run a program or programs on resume.
So someone would have to write their half

Hmmm.... maybe i could add this to RoutisVoice. I could maybe have it check if the system resumes, check if routis is running, and send enter and reconnect to it. Should take care of it?

And go figure.... I was gonna ask you about implementing something like this, and sure enough - you'd already thought of it.

Well that would be a cool thing to add anyways David...I've been having troubles with my delorme unit recently, seems to always be down and when it picks up satellites, it only gets 2-3 =(

Thinking of getting the new Microsoft one with Streets 2005 on sale at Fry's...

Sorry to hear about your troubles, maybe you could get a exchange? Yeh, I'll add that to the next version, a feature to reconnect the GPS. The resume part is harder

Yes, but I would listen for all 3:
                    PBT_APMRESUMEAUTOMATIC
                    PBT_APMRESUMECRITICAL

Hey, you're right! Standby sends the same messages as hibernate but the resume messages are in a different order. Plus looking for PBT_APMRESUMEAUTOMATIC as well just make the code run twice.

                            Standaby:
                            PBT_APMQUERYSUSPEND
                            PBT_APMSUSPEND
                            PBT_APMRESUMEAUTOMATIC
                            PBT_APMRESUMESUSPEND

                            Hibernate:
                            PBT_APMQUERYSUSPEND
                            PBT_APMSUSPEND
                            PBT_APMRESUMESUSPEND
