  • Front End with Character LCD support?

I'm thinking about using a character lcd display as an secondary display, are there any CarPC front ends that can output things (such as scrolling song/title) to a character display?

      same here were considering it
as for current frontends theres cobra 1 & 3 they both support it, not sure about cobra 4 aka Carplayer SP, theres also numerous plugins for winamp that will output to a serial or parralle lcd theres even gfx graphic lcds panel software for winamp, also theres many dos mp3 systems that work with character lcds
such as damp, mpx, mpfx, jukebox
try searchin on the winamp site under plugins for lcd youll find a few there

PyCar supports only graphical displays( 128x64 and 240x128 ). Mainly due to its mutlilingual ( i18n ) feature.
